2010 SBCA Biggest Loser Contest

When is being a loser a good thing?  When you win the" Biggest Loser" Weight Loss Contest sponsored by the Saint Bernard Club of America 2010 National.

Do we start our Saints on the green bean diet?  No, this contest is for their human counterparts.  Doug Martin has generously donated $500 in prize money for the one winner of the contest.  Entry fee will  be $10 per person. To even the playing field, the winner will be determined by the largest percentage of weight lost.

The beginning weights can be submitted in one of  two ways.  There will be a weigh in for people using the weight pull scales at the 2009 National in Hood River, Oregon.  Or you can weigh in at your doctors or vets(as we all probably spend more time at the vets than we do at our own doctors) and get a signed statement of your current weight.

For those not attending the 2009 National, entries and entry fees can be mailed to:

Amy McCarthy
1763 East 61st Street,
Tulsa, Oklahoma  74136-0814

We will accept entries beginning October 7, 2009 until April 1, 2010.  Checks should be made out to SBCA 2010 National.

Final weigh in will be at the 2010 National in Branson, Missouri and you will need to be present to win.  Weigh-in will again be done on the weight pull scales and the winner will be announced at the Annual Dinner.

Weights will NOT be  public knowledge and will be confidential to the contest committee.
Weight loss must be done by "natural" means...no gastric bypass or stomach stapling.

So, if you are looking for motivation to lose some weight, now is the time to do so.  Not only will you reap the benefits of the weight loss but you have a chance to win a major prize.
